'Itchy Sound' Wallpaper

new wallpaper was uploaded. here is the new look:

the main idea for wallpaper is music visualization. in this trial it is used 2 different visualization of sound waves as you can see.

i have also uploaded a new favicon after changing the color scheme.

'Itchy Sound' New Color Scheme

after re-visiting and analyzing 'itchy sound' blog design, i decide to change the color scheme, because the previous chosen colors look old, like a 80-year-old grandma designed it :)

well, i guess i was so focussed on the header, so i did that stupid mistake, but better lose the saddle than the horse :)

also, i began to work on the wallpaper, i guess it will be uploaded by tomorrow.

Preview of 'Itchy Sound'

here is the first preview of new blog 'itchy sound':

header, favicon, gadget title images are added. i will also design a new background image in following days. but in general, if i decide to use this theme design, the design will look like this.

most important characteristics of this design are the chosen color scheme of course, and borders. also we can add the use of '::' to the list. in my opinion, that little information is important for the characteristic of the design.

whereafter publishing more than 15 posts on russian constructivists blog, with lots of images in a post, i needed to make easier to reach older posts. so i put archive and popular gadgets at the bottom of the page.

'Itchy Sound' Header

here is the new header trial for 'itchy sound' blog:

if we are talking about music, well, there must be some glowing and luminous effect as visuals, which i tried to apply this idea in this trial.

only serif fonts used, because when you apply multiple sans-serif fonts one on the top of the other, it did not look qualified like serif fonts. for this kind of graphic design approach, i can say serif fonts are more convenient than sans-serifs.

'History of Mobsters' Header

here is the first header trial for 'history of mobsters' blog:

well, the content is all about mobsters and gangsters, so i need to use brownish colors, which is really challenging, because brown looks old school and give the impression of those times (1920's - 1960's).

i am really satisfied with the colors and the typeface actually, it fits with the content and it looks original even if it's not a corporate logo. also in my opinion headers are the visuals that give you the first impression of a web site and if i see this header i probably would like to see the information above.

New Blogs: Itchy Sound & Hist.of Mobsters

i have decided to create some other blogs to experiment new design processes, and to experience some other stuff about designing a website which i have not used before (like playing with photoshop etc...).

one of them is 'Itchy Sound', a blog that you can find information and available downloadable samples of any kind of music, and the other one is 'History of Mobsters' where you can find bios and information about well-known gangsters.

new contents excite me because they are really different from each other, and that make me think about different color scheme, different pictures etc...

i have began to create some visuals for 'Itchy Sound'.
