Purpose of This Blog

This blog is created for publishing assignments and homeworks of the course called VA 333 Web Design, in Sabanci University.

Course DescriptionIn this course you will learn how to create a website from scratch. This will involve all the phases such a project brings about, starting from creating your own meaningful content for the site. You will then learn about information architecture and informational hierarchies as you create the diagram of your site’s map. After this phase you will start to visually create your site, through using various softwares and resources. The final phase will be publishing your website.
Although this course goes under the heading of web design, it should also be seen as course of “web culture”. You will learn how to conduct content and design related research online, how to utilize online databases and creative sharing platforms, find out about different ways and means of publisihng web content through online platforms. An important aspect of web culture is sharing informational content through blogging. Thus, as part of your course requirements you will be also be asked to keep a blog.

This is really cool Onur. What a beautiful color scheme and you were very clever to use in combination with lots of grey and black and white. Especially love the little black highlight behind the VA333. What a beautiful, delicate, sophisticated accent!
